Deluxe Kombucha Brewing Kit with Heat Mat
Complete Kombucha Brewing Kit with Bottles and an Adjustable Heat Mat
The Bucha Brewers Deluxe Kombucha Brewing Kit with Heat Mat includes everything a beginner needs to brew, flavor, and carbonate a first 1-gallon batch at home—plus adjustable temperature support for a cool brewing space.
The kit combines our Deluxe Kombucha Brewing Kit with six 16-ounce flip-top bottles and an adjustable heat mat designed for a 1-gallon jar. Wrap the mat around the jar, monitor the temperature, and use the dial to increase or decrease the warmth as indoor conditions change. It is especially useful during colder months, in finished basements, and in homes where the brewing area regularly falls below the recommended minimum temperature of about 70°F.
All core brewing equipment is reusable for future batches. The included instructions cover both primary fermentation and second fermentation, and Bucha Brewers provides online guides, recipes, and personal brewing support if questions come up.
Why Choose the Heated Deluxe Kit?
- Everything for primary and second fermentation: Brew your first gallon, then use the included bottles to add flavor and develop carbonation.
- Better support for cool brewing spaces: The adjustable heat mat helps keep the jar warmer when the surrounding room is cool or temperatures fluctuate.
- More control than preset heat levels: Use the dial to fine-tune the warmth and the thermometer to monitor the jar before making further adjustments.
- Fresh, active culture: The SCOBY and starter tea are grown with organic sugar and our black tea blend, kept active until shortly before shipment, and never dehydrated.
- Beginner-friendly guidance: Clear instructions address common first-batch questions without oversimplifying the process.
- Reusable equipment: Continue brewing gallon batches with the jar, bottles, heat mat, and other reusable tools.
- Personal support from an experienced small business: Bucha Brewers is a family-run Colorado business founded in 2018. We have sold thousands of kombucha kits and help customers troubleshoot their brews when questions arise.

A Complete Kombucha Kit for Cold-Weather Brewing
Kombucha generally brews best when maintained at 70°F or slightly warmer. A heat mat is not necessary in every home, but it can make temperature management much easier when the brewing area regularly falls below that temperature.
The included mat wraps around the center or lower portion of the gallon jar and is held in place with the securing bands. After changing the dial, allow at least three hours for the full gallon of liquid to respond before checking the thermometer and adjusting it again.
If your brewing space already remains comfortably around 70°F or warmer, the standard Deluxe Kombucha Brewing Kit with Bottles may be all you need.
Designed to Help First-Time Brewers Succeed
Our kits were developed around the questions and problems beginners actually encounter. The fresh culture, monitoring tools, protective coffee-filter covers, detailed instructions, and adjustable temperature support work together to reduce guesswork throughout the first batch.
Each kit is assembled by hand with care in the United States. If something about your brew does not look or smell right, you can contact Bucha Brewers for personal help rather than trying to diagnose it alone.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a heat mat to brew kombucha?
Not necessarily. If your brewing area consistently stays around 70°F or warmer, the standard Deluxe Kit may be sufficient. The heated version is most useful for cool homes, finished basements, winter brewing, or indoor temperatures that fluctuate.
Does this kit include everything needed for a first batch?
Yes. It includes the jar, fresh SCOBY and starter tea, first-batch tea and sugar, monitoring tools, fermentation covers, six flip-top bottles, heat mat, and instructions for primary and second fermentation.
Can I adjust the heat mat?
Yes. The attached dial lets you gradually raise or lower the warmth instead of relying on fixed preset levels. Monitor the jar with the included thermometer and allow at least three hours after an adjustment for the full gallon to respond.
Should the heat mat go underneath the jar?
No. Wrap it around the center or lower portion of the jar and secure it with the included bands. Keep the thermometer visible above the heated area.
Can I reuse the equipment?
Yes. The glass jar, flip-top bottles, heat mat, and other equipment are designed for ongoing batches. For later brews, replenish the tea and sugar you use and reserve enough finished kombucha as starter tea.
What is the difference between this kit and the standard Deluxe Kit?
Both include the complete equipment and ingredients for primary fermentation plus six bottles for flavoring and carbonation. This version also includes an adjustable heat mat, securing bands, and additional temperature monitoring support for cooler brewing spaces.
