How to Apply and Read the Strip
- Remove the white waxed backing from the adhesive side.
- Press the strip firmly onto the outside of a clean, dry brewing jar or vessel.
- If desired, remove the thin protective film from the front after application. Removing it can make the display easier to view and can eliminate trapped air bubbles, but it is not required for an accurate reading.
- Read the number that has changed color. For example, the temperature shown in the main photo is approximately 73°F.

Does the thermometer go inside the kombucha?
No. Apply it to the outside of the jar so you can monitor temperature without placing anything in the brew.
Do I need to remove the front plastic film?
No. It does not affect the reading. You may remove it after applying the strip if you want a clearer view.
