Winter blues got you and your kombucha down? Bucha Brewers adjustable kombucha heat mats are exactly what you need! Bucha Brewers adjustable heat mats wrap around your 1-gallon brewing jar to allow for simple and consistent heating throughout your entire brew.
Many of us keeps our homes cooler during the winter (or throughout the year). Unfortunately, kombucha brews best between 70-80 degrees Fahrenheit. While this posed an issue for many of us before, our kombucha heating mat makes brewing your kombucha by the gallon worry-free year round!
The Bucha Brewers Kombucha heating wrap is adjustable — simply turn the dial to the “high” side for more heat, or move it towards the “low” side to reduce the temperature. This allows you to achieve the perfect brewing temperature year-round! Whether you need to increase your brew temperature by just a couple degrees or enough to beat the winter chill, our adjustable heating mat gives you the liberty to do so. Many heat mats on the market offer a “low, medium, high” 3-setting approach. We know that changes in house temperature can jump throughout the year, and our heat dial allows you to warm your kombucha by just the right amount whether you are brewing in winter freezes or a slightly chilly spring.
Our kombucha heat wrap comes with two thick, heavy-duty bands to secure your kombucha heating wrap around the jar with. It also comes with an adhesive thermometer to allow you to easily check on the temperature of your brew. Each heat wrap features a 6-foot cord, with the dial placed near the middle of the cord to ensure you can easily adjust the temperature without having to disturb the heat mat and your kombucha jar.
Safety comes first! Our adjustable kombucha heat mat is UL listed and certified. Most kombucha heat mats on the market are not; keep your brew warm with peace of mind when you use the Bucha Brewers adjustable kombucha heat mat.
Each heat mat measures approximately 3 inches wide and 20 inches long. Power cords are approximately 6 feet long. Feel free to reach out to our support team with any unanswered questions!
Getting Started:
Getting started is easy as can be once you receive your mat. Simply plug in your mat, wrap the mat around your brewing jar, secure it near the center of your jar with the included heavy-duty rubber bands, & adjust the dial to increase/decrease temperature as needed!
You can also adhere the included adhesive thermometer to your jar to make for easy temperature checks. While you can place the thermometer under the heating mat, we recommend placing it above or below the mat so that you can check the jar temperature without having to move the heating wrap. When adjusting the temperature, please keep in mind that it can take some time for all of the liquid kombucha in your jar to heat up initially. We recommend giving your brew at least an hour after adjusting the heat setting to check the temperature.

Works great, planning on leaving it plugged in all winter. The thermometer is good, but it takes a while for everything to equalize. So it takes some time to determine the right level to set the heater to get the desired temp.

I live in Alaska and heat primarily with wood… so temperatures in my house vary somewhat. After my first attempt at kombucha failed when a spot of mold appeared on top of my scoby, I began searching for answers online. Reached out to several companies with questions (included pics of my failed scoby) and Buchabrewers responsed in less than 24 hours! Gave me great information about why it might have happened and recommendations for my next attempt. Also assured me that they do mail scobies to Alaska during the winter and all would be ok!
