  • Adjustable heat dial: Increase or decrease warmth gradually to suit the room and the brew.
  • Supports year-round fermentation: Adjustable heat delivery helps maintain the commonly recommended 70–80°F kombucha brewing range in cooler conditions.
  • Complete monitoring setup: Includes an adhesive thermometer for checking the jar temperature.

How to Set Up the Heat Mat

  1. Wrap the mat around the center/lower end of the 1-gallon jar.

I live in Alaska, and even in summer my house is chilly. I cant afford to heat my place to keep a SCOBY happy - this heating pad made all the difference in success.

The product was as described but with a CB 2 gal container my Max temp is only at 75 it would probably go higher with a one gal brew container.

Have ordered three of these and will maybe get a 4th so I can have 4 batches going at a time! I live in North Pole AK where temps drop to -40 during winter. We heat w wood so house temps do fluctuate. This mat has made ALL the difference in maintaining consistency of my brewing temp and batch after batch of delicious kombucha!! ❤️

I live in Alaska and heat primarily with wood... so temperatures in my house vary somewhat. After my first attempt at kombucha failed when a spot of mold appeared on top of my scoby, I began searching for answers online. Reached out to several companies with questions (included pics of my failed scoby) and Buchabrewers responsed in less than 24 hours! Gave me great information about why it might have happened and recommendations for my next attempt. Also assured me that they do mail scobies to Alaska during the winter and all would be ok! They had me at "hello!" I ordered this blanket and a new starter kit... and now I've made two batches and all is going well! This blanket made ALL the difference in maintaining the perfect brewing temperature! My new scoby was alive and happy in it's 75 degree world... and now I have a scoby hotel and a 3rd batch brewing like crazy! Decided to get another blanket so I can stagger my batches and never run out. Thank you, Buchabrewers, for being there when I needed help! I immediately knew this community would be there for all my brewing needs!

Works great, planning on leaving it plugged in all winter. The thermometer is good, but it takes a while for everything to equalize. So it takes some time to determine the right level to set the heater to get the desired temp.

Love this. I do not have central heating and air so this does great at keeping more of a constant with the various temps in my house.
