Bucha Brewers Kombucha SCOBYs are made with high-quality ingredients and are kept brewing until shortly before shipment. This guarantees our SCOBYs will be active, healthy, and ready to brew upon reaching you!
Standalone Kombucha SCOBYs are ideal for experienced brewers who are getting back into kombucha home-brewing. We recommend our Kombucha Starter Kit for beginners who need all brewing equipment, ingredients, and instructions.
Each SCOBY is approx. 3″ in diameter, and measures an average of 1/4″ in thickness. Our kombucha SCOBYs are shipped with approx. 8 ounces of strong starter tea. This keeps the SCOBY active during shipment, and provides you with a highly-acidic starter tea to ensure you begin your kombucha brew at the proper pH level.
Our SCOBYS are shipped in high-quality, heat-sealed, 4 mil poly bags to protect against leaks and maintain freshness throughout the shipment process. These bags are BPA-free, food-grade, and FDA-approved.
Upon receiving your SCOBY, check out our guide on making your first batch of kombucha. This guide will walk you through the steps if you cannot recall them or are new to home-brewing kombucha. As the package label states, this live SCOBY should be used within 2 months of receipt for best results.

Great deal for great kombucha!
After having bad luck with a scoby I ordered from another business on Amazon, I decided to give bucha brewers a try.
