This blueberry kombucha recipe is incredibly simple, but delivers tons of flavor nonetheless! It is one of our favorite ways to flavor our second fermentation kombucha, and requires minimal effort to do so! Drinking the blueberry kombucha that you end up with will make you feel like you are kicked back relaxing on a beach in beautiful weather no matter the time of the year—it is that good and fresh!
In order to make this recipe, you need to have kombucha that has already completed the primary fermentation process. You will need to make your own kombucha at home for this! No worries—we make it as easy as can be! Get everything you need to make your own kombucha in this kit!
We use 16 oz flip-top glass bottles for this blueberry kombucha recipe. You can scale the recipe to be used with a different bottle size or container. However, you will want to use an airtight glass container of some sort if at all possible! Glass is best for the kombucha flavor and health, and an airtight bottle allows for carbonation to build up within the bottle!
We love to have fresh blueberry pieces in our kombucha, but it can be difficult to remove the pieces from the bottle after drinking. This recipe works just as well with pureed or muddled blueberries—just make sure to use the same amount!
Now that you have all of the equipment, it’s time to give this recipe a go! Enjoy!
