Blueberry Kombucha

Blueberry Bliss Kombucha

This recipe is incredibly simple, but delivers incredible flavor nonetheless! It is one of our favorite ways to flavor our kombucha during second fermentation, and requires minimal effort to do so! Drinking the blueberry kombucha that you end up with will make you feel like you are kicked back relaxing on a beach in beautiful weather no matter the time of the year—it is that good and fresh!

Prep Time 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 16 oz glass flip-top bottle
  • Fresh Blueberries
  • Kombucha finished with initial fermentation
  • 1 tsp Chia seeds OPTIONAL

Instructions

  1. Cut approx. 20 fresh blueberries in half per 16 oz bottle you fill.  Add halfed blueberries to the bottle

  2. Use a funnel to fill the same bottle with your kombucha*, leaving about an inch of headspace at the top of the bottle.  *Make your own kombucha with our kombucha kits!

  3. Seal the bottle and leave at room temperature for 3-7 days

  4. Briefly lift seal to release excess carbonation every 2 days

  5. Begin tasting kombucha on day 3.  Refrigerate and drink once at desired flavor & sweetness*.  *Kombucha will be sweeter on early days-- the longer it is fermented, the less sugar the final product will have

  6. If desired, add 1 tsp of chia seeds to each bottle upon refrigerating kombucha.  Allow to soak for at least 1 hour prior to drinking.
